SATCO Hybrid Plant

SATCO hybrid power plant in NEOM, KSA integrates 4.5 MW of solar power with advanced robotic cleaning systems and 7x1.825 MW diesel generators.

The SATCO hybrid power plant project, located in NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represents a significant advancement in renewable energy integration. This project features a 4.5 MW solar power installation equipped with a state-of-the-art robotic cleaning system to ensure optimal efficiency and minimal maintenance. In addition to the solar component, the plant includes 7 diesel generators, each with a capacity of 1.825 MW, providing reliable backup power and ensuring continuous energy supply.

The project has been fully installed, tested, and commissioned by Alqaimary for Electromechanical Works, highlighting their expertise in large-scale hybrid energy solutions. The infrastructure also comprises two 13.8 kV switchgear rooms, a hybrid controller for managing the interplay between AC-DC panels and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and two 1.6 MVAR capacitor banks for power factor correction and stabilization.

This hybrid power plant exemplifies the innovative energy solutions being developed in NEOM, contributing to the region's sustainable energy goals and demonstrating a robust model for future hybrid power projects.
